Our spark for MTG commerce ignited via Facebook buy/sell groups. We strive to treat every customer with respect and offer amazing deals. The founder, Travis, has been playing since childhood and carries a cherished family tradition of selling cards. As a child and teenager, he accompanied his father to sport card shows, flea markets, and yard sales. He soaked it in, and has found a business that fills him with passion in adulthood. His spouse Sami is the other half of Wonders Unsealed. What began as helping fulfill occasional orders has evolved into her own love for learning game mechanics. Her competitive side shines brightly during dinner-time MTG games. We realize that MTG is more than a game - it is a community, a creative outlet, a lifelong hobby that you cherish. We hope that we can arm you with some spells at great prices!

Are the packs just full of bulk?

Our $50 pack contain 1-10 cards, and our $100 packs contain 1-7 cards. About half of our packs contain just 1-3 cards, known as Collector Wonders. These packs have no bulk. Other pack structures contain 4-10 cards, known as Crafters Wonders. We try to theme these packs. These packs can contain some bulk, but we strive to make these packs great! 

How we determine value

We believe that value is determined by many factors, including playability, collectibility and rarity. We carefully consider all of these and utilize data metrics surrounding popularity and cost of cards when curating products wherein our goal is to provide amazing value.

We include a dated, printed list of cards with data metrics. This information serves as an analytical tool for customers to use to help them determine the overall value of each pack.

Aren’t you just getting rid of cards that don’t sell elsewhere?

We believe this is a flaw in many mystery packs - that they are often a mechanism to sell cards that won’t sell elsewhere.

That’s why we’ve decided to not sell on other platforms - we don’t have a storefront to sell singles and we don’t sell our best cards as singles on other platforms. We save our best for our packs. 

We actually have a lot of cards come through that don’t meet the quality and standard for making it into our packs.

All of the amazing singles we purchase go into our packs. 

Can’t you just fill the packs with newer sets and their inflated prices?

It’s true that when new sets are released, the prices are often much higher than what the cards will end up being. This is why we purposefully wait 3-4 weeks after the release of a new Magic set before adding them into our packs. We wait for the general cost of singles to stabilize and settle.

How do you make money if every pack has amazing value?

Like all local game store and buyers, we buy collections of all sizes at a fraction of market value, which allows us to make a modest yet sustainable profit. Our top goal isn’t to make THE MOST money possible. Instead, our top goal is to create products that are amazing and some of the best pack opening experiences for players and collectors.
